About Us

Since our formation in 1984, Jackson Dance Academy has gone from strength to strength, gaining an excellent reputation throughout Inverclyde.

Due to the growing success of the Academy, in March 2007 we bought our dance studio, making us the first dance school in Inverclyde to own our very own premises dedicated solely for our use.

We constantly strive for and attain, the highest levels of creativity, excitement and performance. We accomplish our mission through teaching, knowledge, practice and the understanding of dance, engulfed by an inexhaustible (indisputable) energy from both teacher and students.

Students are trained and educated from beginners to championship competition level and amateur to professional B.A.T.D. Examination level in all disciplines schooled at the Academy.

Our semi annual dance displays are widely held in the highest regard benefiting from the Academy’s Principal Teacher Linda Jackson’s extensive teaching and choreography experience, having provided choreography for shows such as Fame, West Side Story, Cabaret, Copacabana, Summer Holiday, Honk, Carousel, The Full Monty and most recently The Wedding Singer.

The highly qualified and professional principal teacher Linda Jackson takes great pride in the fact that all classes at the Academy are taught by her direct, thus insuring the highest standards and quality of teaching.
